Getting started

General financing questions

EquipMeFi is a business-financing support platform that helps business owners submit one application and explore potential options through a network of independent third-party lenders. EquipMeFi does not itself underwrite, originate, or guarantee financing.
No. EquipMeFi provides application support and may route eligible requests to independent lenders. Each lender controls its own underwriting, approval, pricing, documentation, and funding decisions.
Potential options may include equipment financing, working capital, term loans, business lines of credit, commercial real estate financing, and other business-purpose products. Availability depends on the request, lender programs, qualifications, geography, and documentation.
No. An application is not an approval, offer, commitment, or guarantee. Approval and final terms depend on independent lender review and the applicant’s complete business and credit profile.
Business qualifications

Eligibility and qualification

Many U.S.-based sole proprietorships, LLCs, corporations, and partnerships may apply. Eligibility varies by lender, industry, time in business, revenue, credit profile, requested amount, intended use, and other underwriting factors.
Requirements vary. Some lenders consider newer businesses, while others require a longer operating history. Established revenue, experience, collateral, or a down payment may help support certain requests.
Credit standards are set by each lender and vary by product. Some programs may consider credit scores starting around 500, but meeting a stated minimum does not guarantee approval or any particular terms.
Some startup options may be available, particularly when supported by strong personal credit, relevant experience, collateral, equipment value, a down payment, or other compensating factors. Options are generally more limited than for established businesses.
Possibly. Existing obligations are part of the lender’s review. Lenders may evaluate current balances, payment history, cash flow, lien position, and whether the business can support an additional obligation.
Five-step experience

Application process

Select Apply Now or Get Pre-Qualified to open the five-step application drawer. You will provide contact and ownership information, business details, the financing request, supporting documents, and final review information.
Be prepared to provide ownership details, business contact information, EIN, business start date, industry, revenue, requested amount, intended use of funds, and relevant supporting documents. A lender may request additional items.
Yes. You may select “Not Sure” and describe your business need. The information can help the EquipMeFi team and potential lenders identify financing paths that may be appropriate.
The preview supports limited same-browser progress recovery for safe, non-sensitive fields. Uploaded documents and sensitive values should not be stored in unsafe browser storage. Production behavior will follow Wix Headless security controls.
You may describe multiple needs in your application or contact the EquipMeFi team. Separate requests may be recommended when the uses, collateral, transaction timing, or financing products differ materially.
Supporting your request

Bank statements and documentation

Bank statements help lenders evaluate revenue patterns, cash flow, deposits, account balances, existing obligations, and the business’s potential capacity to support repayment.
Four recent complete months are commonly requested in the EquipMeFi application. A lender may request more or fewer statements based on the financing product, business history, seasonality, and underwriting review.
Potential requests include tax returns, profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, debt schedules, equipment quotes, invoices, purchase agreements, property information, identification, insurance, or proof of ownership.
Incomplete, outdated, or unreadable documents may delay review or limit available options. Submit clear and complete records whenever possible and respond promptly to follow-up requests.
Use the secure application upload experience rather than ordinary email or text message. Sensitive data should not appear in URLs, analytics, advertising pixels, routine emails, or routine SMS communications.
Owner and business profile

Credit and personal guarantees

The type and timing of any inquiry depend on the lender and product. Preliminary review may use a soft inquiry, while a hard inquiry may be required before final approval or funding. Review the lender’s disclosure before authorizing an inquiry.
Many small-business financing products require one or more owners to provide a personal guarantee. Requirements vary based on product type, ownership percentage, collateral, business strength, and lender policy.
Potential options may exist, but rates, pricing, amounts, collateral requirements, repayment frequency, or available products may differ. Lenders typically review the full business and credit profile rather than a single factor.
It depends on the product. Equipment and real estate commonly secure their own financing, while other products may require business assets, a blanket lien, or no specific collateral. The lender’s agreement controls.
Understanding the cost

Rates, terms, and repayment

Rates and pricing vary by lender, product, credit profile, business performance, collateral, term, market conditions, and other underwriting factors. EquipMeFi does not guarantee an APR, factor rate, fee, or total cost.
Terms may range from shorter-duration working-capital arrangements to multi-year equipment, term-loan, line-of-credit, or real-estate structures. The final lender agreement controls the term and repayment schedule.
Depending on the product, payments may be daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Confirm payment frequency, total repayment, fees, prepayment provisions, and any automatic-debit requirements before accepting an offer.
Fees vary by lender and transaction. Review all origination, documentation, closing, appraisal, inspection, filing, broker, late-payment, and prepayment provisions in the lender’s disclosures and agreement.
Choosing a path

Financing products

Equipment financing may help a business acquire vehicles, machinery, tools, technology, or other business-use equipment. The financed asset often serves as collateral, and the structure may be a loan, lease, or other commercial arrangement.
Often, yes. Eligibility may depend on equipment type, age, condition, value, seller, title or ownership documentation, remaining useful life, and lender guidelines.
Working capital can support operating expenses such as payroll, inventory, marketing, repairs, seasonal needs, or growth initiatives. Structures and repayment schedules vary by lender and product.
A term loan generally provides a lump sum that is repaid over an agreed period. It may support expansion, equipment, refinancing, improvements, acquisitions, or other approved business purposes.
A business line of credit may provide revolving access up to an approved limit. The business can generally draw funds as needed and repay according to the lender’s agreement, subject to availability and renewal provisions.
Potential options may support owner-occupied commercial property, investment property, acquisitions, refinancing, improvements, or construction. Property type, occupancy, cash flow, collateral, borrower strength, and lender criteria affect eligibility.
Potential financing opportunities may reach up to $2,000,000 for eligible requests. Actual amounts vary by applicant, lender, product, use of funds, revenue, collateral, documentation, and underwriting.
What happens next

Application timing, decisions, and funding

Qualified decisions may be available within two hours and no later than 24 hours in some cases, subject to lender review, applicant qualifications, documentation, timing, and completeness. Complex requests may take longer. No timeline is guaranteed.
Funding timing varies. Some working-capital or term-loan transactions may fund after final approval and completion of conditions, while equipment and real-estate transactions may require valuation, insurance, closing, lien, title, or seller documentation.
Your submission may be reviewed for completeness and routed to potentially suitable independent lenders as permitted by your authorizations. EquipMeFi or a lender may contact you for clarification, documents, or next steps.
No. Review the lender’s disclosures and agreement carefully. Accept an offer only after you understand the pricing, repayment schedule, fees, collateral, guarantees, default provisions, and other terms.
Common causes include missing documents, verification issues, complex ownership, inconsistent information, property or equipment valuation, title or lien questions, insurance requirements, lender capacity, or additional underwriting review.
More than financing

Advantage Pro

Advantage Pro is EquipMeFi’s business-benefits program designed to provide added value beyond the financing application, including practical growth resources and partner-supported promotional benefits.
No. Advantage Pro benefits are separate from lender underwriting and do not guarantee approval, pricing, financing terms, or funding.
Current promotional benefits may include a complimentary resort-stay offer for completing a qualifying application, a Local SEO Visibility Report, and a prepaid business credit-builder benefit for qualifying funded customers. Each benefit is subject to separate terms, eligibility, availability, and partner requirements.
The promotional vacation reward is tied to completion of a qualifying application rather than financing approval. Third-party fulfillment, redemption, travel, taxes, deposits, availability, and other terms apply.
